Community Guidelines

Atrium exists to help families, learners, and educators make better decisions about education providers through trustworthy reviews and context. These guidelines govern user and provider conduct across the platform.

Core principles

  • Trust: Complete profiles and disclose any affiliations that could bias a review.
  • Honesty: Base reviews on actual personal experience with the provider. Be specific and accurate.
  • Usefulness: Share details that help others decide (program quality, outcomes, support, costs, fit).
  • Respect: Critique services and experiences—not people. No harassment or hate.
  • Integrity: No manipulation, astroturfing, or quid-pro-quo reviews.

What's allowed

  • Reviews grounded in your real engagement with a provider (e.g., enrollment/attendance, usage of a tool/app, participation in a camp or program, paid tutoring).
  • Balanced, experience-based opinions, including negative experiences stated factually.
  • Evidence where appropriate (e.g., dates attended, context); omit private information about minors or staff.

What's not allowed

  • Promotional content: Self-promotion, ads, referral codes, or solicitation in reviews or comments.
  • Conflicts undisclosed: Employees, founders, contractors, investors, or close relations reviewing without clear disclosure.
  • Incentivized reviews without disclosure: Compensation, discounts, or benefits tied to the review.
  • Fabricated/second-hand reviews: No hearsay, no AI-generated content without your own genuine experience and insight.
  • Harassment/discrimination: No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious intolerance, or targeted harassment.
  • Illicit/unsafe content: No doxxing, threats, explicit content, or illegal material.
  • Personal data of others: Do not post private information about students, parents, or staff (names, contact info, medical/academic records, etc.).
  • Review manipulation: Coordinated campaigns, review gating, vote brigading, or paying for reviews. Providers must not review themselves or competitors.

Providers on Atrium

  • Claimed pages: Providers may claim and manage their pages. Claims and official replies are public.
  • Right of reply: Providers may respond to reviews to clarify facts and improve outcomes; no retaliation against reviewers.
  • No review gating: Do not selectively invite only satisfied users to review.
  • Transparency: Disclose relationships, scholarships, discounts, or incentives tied to a review request.

Moderation and enforcement

  • Instant publishing with safeguards: Reviews generally publish immediately. We may investigate, hide, or remove content that violates these Guidelines or the Terms.
  • Verification: We may request documentation to verify a user's experience. Non-response can lead to removal.
  • Actions: Content removal, account suspension or ban, provider page restrictions, and referral to authorities where required.
  • Appeals: If your content is removed or your account is restricted, you may contact hello@exploreatrium.com with context. Reinstatement is at our discretion.

AI-assisted writing

AI tools may help you express your experience. Fully AI-generated reviews without genuine, first-hand experience are prohibited. Your review must reflect your actual interaction and judgment.
